The X2 allows you to watch all satellites pointing at Australia.

In addition to that, it has a card reader built in to it. This allows you to use almost any subscriber cards to any packages that you have already purchased.

SATFACTS July 2004 said "We found the overall sensitivity (ability to lock on and hold a weak transponder before tiling/glitching) remarkably good - easily the best we have seen from any (digital) receiver."

The X2 is the perfect satellite receiver for people new to the hobby who may want to subscribe to a service later on. However, please note it only has composite video outputs, so if you intend to plug this box into a plasma screen, LCD or projector then these displays will show up a lot of faults. You would be much better off, picture quality wise, to purchase a SRT 4820 or SRT 4890 with hard disk recorder as these boxes have RGB and S-Video outputs.
