SRT L722 TWIN Universal Ku Band LNB $50
This is a TWIN universal Ku LNB, and is used with systems where you want to watch both horizontal and vertical polarised channels at the same time with different receivers.
It is NOT required if you only have one receiver.
To receive satellite signals, you need a LNB (Low Noise Block). What this does is picks up all the signals being bounced off the dish and filters out selected frequencies and amplifies the frequencies you need. It then sends the required frequencies to the satellite decoder box.
This LNB is for Ku band, which is a particular way of transmitting satellite signals. It's kind of like FM v's AM with radio technology. Ku band operates from about 10.7 - 12.8 GHz.
You would use this LNB with the following satellites:
NSS6 - Optus B3 - Optus C1 - Optus B1
It is used with the 85cm dish.
